Spindle magazine illustration

I just finish this illustration for the 3rd edition of Spindle magazine, showcasing the contributors to the magazine. They provided me with photos (some better than others) and I had 'carte blanche' to do whatever I wanted, the only condition was to have a number near each one of them.

Personal Projects

My agent has just recently ask me if I had any sample work of a certain style for a project, and although I didn't have any commissioned work I sent them this two personal projects.

One is an invitation card for my birthday (Battersea power station, near where I live, and the bull ... well, I am Spanish), the other one is for my baseball team's night out (Croydon Pirates) ,our season is over.... Go Pirates!!

Smart

Here is an illustration I've just finished for a project for Smart Car - could that be the lovely Iceland's volcano that ruined my latest trip back home? ;)

Digital advertising campaign for Specsavers

This is part of latest illustration work I've done for Specsavers new campaign appearing all over the London Underground and train stations at the moment. They appear in more than 200 sites as Cross track animations, LCD and posters - loads of fun to do.

There are 4 of them, I'm still chasing one showing Trafalgar square and the Nelson colum, but that's the one they've done the least amount of posters and only as static so hard to find.

Ipad

The gorgeous Ipad, very desirable but not cheap. If you want one (which I am not ashamed to say I do) you have to be prepared to only eat beans on toast for a while.

Women

Here are a couple of illustrations for a lifestyle magazine created in Illustrator. The one in Paris is inspired on my wife .... well except the fact my wife has a normal shape head, oh, and a cat not a dog ...

Flying man

Here is one of the latest illustrations I created. I'm sure loads of people that live in a big city feel like that at 8am in the morning on their way to work. The same illustration in landscape was used for an online magazine for creatives as their landing page.

I've been very, very busy doing some great work for Specsavers (soon to be seen) so I've not been doing much else, but now that the project is finish I'll be able to post more work here. :)

I'm off on holiday

I'm off back to Spain for a week until the 10th of May, need a break from work as this illustration I've done will show (not that I'm blonde or wear a tie but ...) Time to enjoy the sun and have some paella.

Maggies Cancer Caring Centres

Here is an illustration that I've done for a new project, Memories in aid of Maggie's Centres, a UK based cancer charity.

I was given the story of a cancer patient and was asked to illustrate it to go into a book with others. In my illustration I wanted to show the different journeys she had to go through during her fight against cancer, and how starting a family gave new meaning to life that helped her on the way. Memories will be released in the summer of 2010 along with the launch of an exhibition in London.

Clean waters

I'm no green-warrior (I do throw the coke cans in the bin when I'm done, mind you) but this illustration came after a quick visit back home in Spain, that particular day the beach was filthy with oil and rubbish .... I don't know if this would be the right solution, but is not a bad one.
