Here are a couple of illustrations for a lifestyle magazine created in Illustrator. The one in Paris is inspired on my wife .... well except the fact my wife has a normal shape head, oh, and a cat not a dog ...
Nice muted colours and texture. Is it easy to separate these out into separate layers? I guess so if done in Illustrator? Can you import textures - eg from watercolour washes?
I was born in Spain and, almost from day one, I could be found with a pen and paper in my hand. I loved to draw - anything and everything. And, as soon as I was old enough, I collected all my crayons, colouring pencils and pens together and moved to America; where I studied Commercial Art.
After graduating, I relocated to London and became an Art Director for an Advertising Agency. This gave me the chance to do what I loved - and get paid for it. During this time, my passion grew and I began to work as a freelance Illustrator.
Wow these are gorgeous! Really love the textures on them too. Such a great style. My fave is the second- really like the background on it.
